While we're super fans of green juices and veggie smoothies (hello, antioxidants!), there's one thing we've discovered through years of trial and error: a handful of spinach, some lime juice and a spritz of apple juice just ain't gonna fill you up until lunchtime!
But that doesn't mean you can't have a vibrant green shake for breakfast - you've just gotta be nutrition savvy and add in a few more ingredients for that extra satisfying breakfast boost!
Alongside superfood spinach, a creamy banana and some zesty lime juice, we've added in some uber-filling porridge oats and vegan protein powder to stop that stomach rumbling till lunchtime or beyond.
It's the perfect way to pack in a mighty serving of fruit and veg first thing, without sacrificing your much-needed protein kick!
Prep & cooking time: 5 minutes | Serves: 1 | Vegan
Ingredients
• 30g Nutribuddy Protein powder
• 1 small banana
• 100g spinach
• 100ml almond or soya milk (add more or less depending on how think you'd like the smoothie to be)
• ½ lime
• 50g porridge oats
Method
1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
