1. Chia and Coconut Porridge Winter Warmer Bowl
Porridge is the perfect winter breakfast; warm, easy, filling, and really nutrient-dense. But as the mornings and evenings get darker and the weather a bit colder, it can be difficult to find inspiration to change it up and try things a little differently. This Porridge Bowl does just that, by combining the rich fibre glucan mix of oats with the high antioxidant content of blueberries and the protein and amino acid profile of flaxseed for a sweet treat that’s versatile and nutritious.
Ingredients
- 3 scoops of Nutribuddy Chia and Coconut Porridge
- 6 scoops of coconut milk (or milk of your choice)
- Selection of fruit (Alice uses strawberries, raspberries and blueberries)
- Sprinkle of milled flaxseed and chia seeds
- Drizzle of honey
Method
- Put the porridge and milk into a bowl and microwave for up to a minute. Stir.
- Sprinkle on the flaxseed and chia.
- Arrange the fruit as you’d like on top.
- Add a drizzle of honey… and enjoy!

2. The Birthday Smoothie Bowl
On your birthday you’re already likely to indulge in lots of treats, so to get in a good breakfast before the frivolities begin at least gives you some nutritional value for the day so you can enjoy the rest of it guilt-free. This bright pink smoothie bowl is how Alice started her 31st birthday and does make for a great Instagram snap, but doesn’t need to be for birthdays only… make up an occasion if you don’t have one!
Ingredients
- Handful of frozen strawberries and mixed berries
- 2 scoops of Nutribuddy High Protein Sculpting Shake (vanilla)
- 300-400ml coconut milk (or milk of your choice)
- 1 banana, sliced
- Handful of blueberries
- 4 or 5 raspberries
- Sprinkle of white chocolate flakes
Method
- Combine the Nutribuddy Sculpting Shake, coconut milk, frozen berry mix, banana and half of the blueberries, and blend
- Garnish with the leftover blueberries and raspberries
- Decorate a number or message with the white chocolate flakes!

3. Vegan Tropical Smoothie Bowl
Grab your grass skirt and lei, and get dancing, because this exotic fruity bowl of goodness will make you feel like you’re on holiday in the sun; and the vitamin boost will release lots of endorphins and set you up for the day ahead, even if it is just to be spent in Blighty’s grey weather.
The pineapple will give you a huge dose of Vitamin C (over 100% of your Recommended Daily Allowance, that is!) and the mango will top up your antioxidants nicely. This with a hefty amount of protein guarantees an energy spike and promotes satiety no matter how much you have to be getting on with.
Ingredients
- Handful of frozen pineapple and mango

4. Vegan Protein Smoothie Bowl
The days of eating meat to increase protein intake are over – vegan protein is here to stay. This smoothie bowl includes pea protein: which is vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and does not contain any of the most popular eight allergens, so it’s truly a protein source for everyone!

5. Tropical Turmeric Smoothie Bowl
This fruity bowl of goodness contains turmeric: which you probably don’t often put in your breakfasts! However, it’s such a powerful anti-inflammatory that it’s been proven to rival medicines taken to combat inflammation, and is worth consuming even if you’re not currently suffering from any related conditions. It’s no coincidence that it’s been used as a cookery ingredient in Asia for literally thousands of years!
