Nutribuddy Grab N Go Goody Box - Breakfast Shake & Shake Complete

Oats

Oats are a true superfood.

Not only are they loaded with nutrients and rich in antioxidants, studies suggest they can help to lower cholesterol levels and help blood sugar control.

Oats can also help aid weight loss by keeping you feeling full for longer.

For more information on how oats can help you lose weight, check out our guide on oats for weight loss.

The oats used in Nutribuddy products are special because they’re gluten-free.

Yes, regular oats contain gluten (you can find out all about gluten and oats in our guide here) but Nutribuddy oats are gluten-free!

For more information on oats, read our guide to oats.

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are like the A* student of the seed world.

They have an impressive nutritional profile, containing a whole host of antioxidants.

They are high in fibre (one of the best sources of fibre in the world) and numerous vitamins but are low in calories.

Chia seeds may potentially help weight loss as they are a soluble fibre which takes up space in your stomach, thus creating a feeling of satiety.

These are just some of the many health benefits of chia seeds.

Flaxseeds

Flaxseeds are another seed loaded with nutrients.

They are high in omega-3 fatty acids, a nutrient that has been linked to numerous health benefits such as a lower risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Due to their high lignans content, studies suggest consuming flaxseeds may have a link with a decreased risk in developing breast cancer.

Like chia seeds, flaxseeds are also a soluble fibre which helps keep you feeling fuller for longer

Desiccated coconut is simply a snazzy name for ‘coconut flakes’. They are flakes of coconut which are dry.

Coconut is high in numerous vitamins and minerals, particularly manganese which is essential for bone health and an effective metabolism.

Coconut is mostly made up of fat. But before you start complaining you should probably know that coconuts consist of very beneficial fats called medium-chain triglycerides or MTCs for short.

Some studies suggest that MTCs can actually help you lose weight.

Rice Protein Powder

Rice protein powder is a vegan protein which contains all essential amino acids.

Too often people view vegan proteins as inferior to popular protein powder whey protein.

However, that’s just not the case.

A study comparing rice protein to whey protein concluded that they were evenly-matched in their effectiveness.

Another common misconception about vegan proteins is that they all taste terrible.

Granted, some do. But not rice protein!

Rice protein powder is one of the tastier protein powders you can find.

Compared to other protein powders, rice protein has many benefits.

For one, rice protein is hypoallergenic meaning it is free from any major allergens and is better-tolerated than proteins derived from allergens (soy or whey for example).

As well as beating soy on the allergen front, rice protein has a higher protein content than soy protein.

For more information on rice protein, we recommend having a look at our ultimate rice protein guide.

You can find rice protein in the following Nutribuddy products:

Pea Protein Powder

Pea protein is another vegan protein that contains all 9 essential amino acids.

It has some impressive benefits such as its high iron content, a mineral that an estimated 20% of women of child-bearing age are deficient in.

Furthermore, studies show that pea protein can help increase muscle mass just as much as whey protein.

For more information about how pea protein and whey protein compare, check out our article here.

Several studies also suggest that pea protein may be good for heart health.

Recent studies show that hemp protein is very easy to digest which counteracts previous thoughts that vegan protein powders are difficult to digest.

Hemp protein is very high in fibre compared to other protein powders.

Studies suggest that hemp has numerous health benefits such as reducing the risk of heart disease via the amino acid arginine of which it has a high amount.

Blueberries are also high in potassium and vitamin C, two vitamins essential for day-to-day health.

Studies suggest matcha green tea has numerous benefits such as protecting your liver and boosting brain function.

It is important to remember that matcha green tea does contain some caffeine. You can find out more about the caffeine content of matcha green tea in our article here.

Matcha green tea may help aid weight loss via its caffeine-content through boosting your metabolism, encouraging it to burn more fat.
